The usual, bad language isn't allowed. But what is? What counts? Bad language is part of me, and I don't mean the worst curse words, just those that aren't cursing but not perhaps the nicest words either....

Keep the sites' rules in mind - do not attack other people. You can attack an opinion or position, but not the person expounding those ideas. Avoid vulgar language; there is the Adult Issues Forum where there is a little more room for such expression. This site is home to many members, including those as young as eight - so keep that in mind when posting in the general forums. Also, a list of posts appears on the home page - exercise judiciousness in selecting your titles.

Stinks, sucks, crap, et al - I think you're pretty safe using language that would be found on most middle school campuses (that doesn't cross into the realm of 'blue' language, that is). Avoid George Carlin's list of things you can't say on TV, and any derivatives, and you should have a good starting point. And of course, the ultimate rule of thumb - if it causes you to question, just PM a moderator and we can address it there w/o creating an incident in the forums.
