I believe certain mods have regained power. Topics are locked and Ana54 Again, Chevy Fan, etc were banned. I see why Chevy got banned but why Ana54?

Ana54_Again for discussing banned members, I think.

duplicate accounts are not allowed. its in the rules. so is talking about banned members. If you don't agree with the rules you're welcome to leave and go to another website with less rules. But please do not break anymore rules.

I think it had something to do with making a comment on a certain members mental faculty's, which was way over the line

Yes the mods are back and the issue is over. But he might still have a mess to clean up.

I am pleased Alex has been able to resolve things so quickly (the only time before I have ever frequented a board where moderators as a team were temporarily suspended from moderation, it took over a week to be sufficiently resolved to reactivate the moderators, and that board had well under 600 members, including any long-term inactive members).

Anarchy makes me anxious.

Thanks for sorting things so quickly Alex.

I don't see how anything has changed. What was the solution?

I wouldn't call what happened a party, this whole debacle should never turned into this mess, sure its ok to
get angry but resorting to slander and name calling should never have happened, it made everyone look bad.
I was mad at one of the mods over a perceived threat of getting banned back in november, now I don't hate
this mod for what he said, I am not very well spoken and maybe he took it out of context, its not a job I would
like to have as its to much responsibility and stress.

Well, so far as I can tell, things were get a bit chaotic and disruptive for a short time when the rules were not being enforced quickly due to moderators temporarily not having the ability to moderate. But it would seem that either Alex has gone on a major moderating effort, or moderators' ability to moderate has been restored because it looks like normal rules are back to being enforced again.

I cannot speak for the whole membership of WP (obviously) but uncertainty and drastic alterations to the norm are kind of disturbing to me, so a return to a "moderated and TOS compliant" board is a relief for me at least. I cannot comment on any issues pertaining to why Alex felt it was necessary to temporarily suspend moderation capabilities among the moderators (I do not understand what happened there and have no idea as to what resolution has occured or will occur), but in so far as the earlier disruptions are concerned, it does appear that the TOS is being enforced again, and to me that is more comfortable than a "free for all".

I just hope everyone involved is not feeling too distressed, or hurt, or put out, and that we can quickly return to the well intentioned and generally cooperative community that I perceive WP to be. Hopefully any disruption and hurt feelings can be put in the past now, and we can all continue to use, contribute to, and enjoy WP as the kind of resource Alex intends it to be.

Probably due to content that was disagreeable. Not by makuranososhi though, otherwise he wouldn't have linked to it. If sinsboldly is not a mod anymore, then not her. So that would leave alex, Quatermass, lau, tinky and ed. From what I know from this board of their character, I would count tinky and Quatermass out of the suspect list and ed is not so likely. I would limit it to the two admins, alex and lau, to have been the party to have deleted the undesirable thread.

LabPet is also a moderator, although I don't see her posting anything lately.

Forgot about you also. Oh well, suppose my memory only had a partial list. Sorry.
