Can't post images

Am I just being slow or something here...I post images as follows;

[img ]Image URL[/img ] (without spaces)
I'm using Flicker to host my images.

It shows up as [img ]Image URL[/img ] (without spaces) in the post.
What am I doing wrong?

join the club. since i had to migrate to a new puter, the new puter refuses to let me post anything not text. when i try, i get the same message, "Error- you didn't write the image URL" with no further explanation.

I can't seem to post images either.

It just comes up with an annoying stupid message saying ''error: you didn't write the image URL''.
What the hell?

My assumption is you are not entering a valid url. It should end in .jpg or .gif.

Could you try posting the same image (try test #2)?

I am not a techie but here is my guess.

The first url doesn't end in an image format (.gif, .jpg, etc)
The second url begins with https, which indicates it is a secure site that requires a log-in to access. WP can't log-in so the image can't be accessed.

Sorry, I wish I knew more about image hosting sites. I use a wordpress blog myself.

It worked with me. Make sure it has IMG at the end.

I used tinypic for this.

If you want to make clickable links in your post, just paste the links straight in like this (no bracket thingies):
