The Quatermass Travel Blog
This is a small thing, but I was wondering if The Quatermass Travel Blog was still deserving of its status as a stickied (stuck?) topic in the Random Discussion Forum.
It hasn't been updated since the 3rd of May 2009, which makes it (as far as I'm aware) the stickied thread with the oldest most recent post, barring those about the inner workings of this site.
In love w/aspie, found in the Adult Autism Issues forum, comes close as its last post was made on the 14th of May 2009. However, the difference between the two threads is that In love w/aspie, despite its inactivity, retains the possibility that it could be put to use again, for it is a 'support' thread. The Quatermass Travel Blog isn't, and unless Quatermass still has instalments of the blog yet to be posted, it appears the thread has run its course. In support of this impression is the fact that its associated 'comments' thread - Quatermass Travel Blog Comments - which was, I believe, at one time also stickied, lies dormant.
Although currently the Random Discussion forum is not chocked full of stickied topics, a clutter of this nature can be a worry, and so I submit that perhaps the time has come to unpin the thread and let it drop to the floor of its forum.
If he had it non sticky, he can still update it when he travels. I dont mean any offense to Quatermass, just not sure why it needs to be sticky.
It sort of goes that, if you have something that no one else can have, everyone else will think that it is not to fair and complain about it. Maybe a better idea would be a sticky travel thread, were we all could share our travels? From March threw October, I travel to a new location at least once a week, racing, so I could contribute many posts to something like that
