I would offer to fix this now but we're about to transfer the site to a new server

Fair enough, thanks for the heads up.

Just for the record, I managed to change my avatar - albeit with some of the frustrations illustrated in this thread - but now it has disappeared and I get a 500 internal error when I try to reload it.

For some reason I have been blocked as a spammer (which I am not) in the PPR forum on the Oh Dear thread. In effect I am banned for no reason in that thread. I have managed to get a message through on another thread but I see no reason for this glitch. A direct e-mail to you has given no result. I tried to initiate an alternate thread to overcome the ban but that was blocked as well. I would appreciate some help.

So I tried again to upload my avatar, and got a different error. Unfortunately, I didn't copy it to paste here, but I think it was more of a server error. BUT, I think it uploaded anyway? (so this is a test post to see if it appears)

your errors are temporary. We've moved servers. Please keep to the thread you started about your issue.
