why is it impossible to post links on here

i have seen many post links on here, but whenever i try to add a link, it says under options that html is off. i went to my settings and made it so that html would be on, yet it is still off.

When you reply to this, check and see if the "Disable BBCode in this post" box is checked. It shouldn't be.

the BBCode is fine. everything is enabled except for html even though in my settings i made it so that html would never be disabled, but thanks anyways.

OH! I know what it is. I noticed your join date is Sunday: four days ago. If I remember correctly, there's both a minimum post count (five posts) and a minimum time (5 days) that you must have an account to be able to post links. You should be able to either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

As far as the HTML thing, I think the forum just disables HTML in posts for everyone. Once you've been here long enough, you'll be able to post links via BBCode or by just typing or pasting in the link. (Just putting in a bare link is better, because using BBCode makes the link so people can't see it's there.)

We used to have a problem with spam bots and people joining just to post a link and well members had issues with that so Alex fixed it by adding in you have to be here for a few days to post links. It just reduces the spam.
