I checked my account to find that I have written 91 messages. When I went to see these messages only 89 appeared. What happened to the other two?

Did I write something inappropriate? I don't think I am angry/upset if I have. Remember I am an Aspie and at times I do not realize that I am saying/writing something that is not appropriate.

But I would like to know. If I do I would be able to prevent this from happening in the future. Just let me know exactly what part or parts of the messages were a no-no so that I can understand the problem.

Thanks everybody.

Have you ever done an edit?

An edit might actually count as another post.

If I did an edit it was done, then checked, then hit submit. With the last time I remember getting the opportunity to see the message.

Thanks for writing. irene

I guess I should have edited my last message to remove the extra "it" in the first sentence. 8O

I've had a quick look, and I suspect that all three of your posts that you cannot see might well have suffered the same fate as the last one I found...

It was a welcome that you extended to a new user who was discovered to be a troll. The thread was removed, so your post went with it.

Assuming that you have email notifications of replies enabled, you may have found that, on three occasions, when you clicked on the link, you got a message saying "post or topic does not exist".

======

In technical terms... the "Posts: 94" count is maintained in your profile, and indicates the number of posts that you have made (not edits). Offhand, I can't recall for sure if it decrements, should you delete posts - I think it does.

However, it does not reflect counts of posts which are still in the database, but no longer accessible to you, as is the case should they be in a thread taken out of public view.

When you request to see all of your posts, it counts only those that are accessible to you.
