Friend didn't get email to join

hi there,

a friend of mine just tried to join last night, but she never got the activation email. Her username is MISSBB and she has definitely checked all the folders including her spam folder to see where it is and it still hasn't come through. It's been at least 24 hours so...yeah. She used the "contact us" form twice, but hasn't gotten a response so I was hoping an admin or someone would come along and possibly help her figure out her situation.

Ok I'll see what I can do. I just joined the other day too, and I got my email right away. I'll see if I can PM Alex for her.

Ok so I PMed Alex and haven't heard anything back, and she hasn't heard anything back. She rejoined, under the same name and email addy, and they said the same thing, will give you an activation link. But it never showed up. So yeah...not sure what's going on here but just thought I'd update.

I was afraid that would happen. Alex is probably the one person who can help you yet he's not as active on the site as he used to be. Most sorry about all this. All i can say is wait for a response from alex. Hopefully it will come soon.

I think it might be something to do with hotmail addresses. I created a sock account for the purpose of testing to see if I got a link at a hotmail address...and I didn't. So I am having her sign up with gmail, to try again there.

hmm...that would make sense.
