That’s right, the David Lanham desktop commissioned by WP. Now personally, I wouldn’t have it as my desktop, but that’s just me. I have no doubt Mr Lanham is a fine artist and that a number of people already have the picture as their background.
So, dear reader, just what do you think of it? What the hell is the astronaut holding? Why is the lead alien carrying a ‘space chicken’? And with WP growing at a fast rate in terms of members, will and should the whole alien theme be continued?

It doesn't strike me as professional looking. And the chicken has to go.

Whereabouts is this new desktop that you speak of?

EDIT: Found it. I wouldn't have that rubbish anywhere near my desktop. Back to the drawing board with this project, methinks.

For anyone who hasn't found it yet, it's here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/article321.html

Well, I like it a lot and other people do too. We can't go back to the drawing board because it's already finished. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

David Lanham is amazingly talented and I really like what he's done for WrongPlanet.

Didn't know your son was a professional art critic. :P

I personally dont have a problem with the WP picture and have a copy of it as my background on my PSP.

As my nick would suggest I consider myself as an Alien as I am seen by others as an outsider and I have picked up on this and use it as a nick on most things I am subscribed to today.

I would like to say to Alex that he has the made right choice in this matter and I think the wallpaper is Ace.

Thanks Alex
