I thought I'd pass this info on to Alex or whoever runs the books here. I know nothing about how things here at wrongplanet.net are run, but I wanted to let you know that XY magazine, as part of its ten-year anniversary and to help drum up new sales, has dropped its advertising rates by 75%. (I DO NOT work for the magazine myself, but I love it dearly, just like I love this website!)

XY magazine is a large color glossy magazine, and it is THE #1 magazine for gay teens and young adults. Its total estimated readership is 233,200 people, and a half-page ad (just one option) is currently $700 after discount. XY provides lots of support for suicidal and depressed teenagers, and I am certain thousands of people would come to this site if you bought an ad. Possibly tens of thousands. Especially if you mention that Craig Nicholls guy from the band the Vines.

For important statistics and advertising stuff, click here or go to http://www.xy.com/ad/

For the cute sales pitch and to see their website proper, click here or go to http://www.xy.com/main

I sincerely believe that not only would a major fraction of XY's readers come to check out your site, but also that lots of actual young aspies, in dire need of help and not knowing anything about Asperger's Syndrome, would learn about this site this way. XY.com and wrongplanet.net would be great for each other, I am certain.

My apologies if I have overstepped my bounds by posting this here. Again, I promise I am not being paid to spam you, I won't do this again, and I am not employed by XY magazine. This just seemed like a great way to create a "synergetic effect" or something. If just five percent of their readers visits here, you would get ten thousand new hits in a month.
