Any avatar image I tried it doesn't work

How do I get my avatars to work and to show up? I've tried and tried but it all comes out nothing.

A lot of people have been having problems with avatars recently TigerFire. I think alex is trying to sort it out.

I've been having that same problem. I want to see my "Silver Lady", darn it! I have faith that things wil sort themselves out.

I was having a problem with my avatar the other day and this is how I got an avatar back on the screen.
I uploaded my picture to my photobucket and highlighted and copied the URL of the image.
Then I went to my WP profile page and pasted the URL of the image into the field titled 'link to offsite avatar'.
It's wierd that I couldnt upload my avatar from my machine. :?

Neither of the methods seem to be working for me. It's such a shame, I really want to see my new Hex avi up and running! :(

So when will the avatar system work. I can not upload My new avatar either. When will this get fixed. It would be nice if it did get fixed soon.

Maybe it's viruses on your computer.

maybe its selective viruses that only attack good sites like wrong planet

alex, i thought wrongplanet was immune because the site beinghosted on a linux server. i could be wrong but dont know.

I just tried uploading a new avatar but it won't work. It's a JPEG file, only 4 kB, and it is slightly smaller than the maximum size. The photo is of Foster Hewitt in front of a CBC microphone.
