Blogs not working?

I just tried to add a new entry to my blog, but when I hit Add New Entry after I was done, what showed up had no carriage returns, and slashes in front of every apostrophe (I thought this might be because I copied a lot of it from a Facebook Note, but when I deleted the carriage returns and typed in new ones, the same thing happened). Then when I went to my list of entries the new one wasn't there.

Temporary glitch? Oversight on my part? Any ideas?

Just noticed: Buried at the end of my text, it put: "Sorry. Clickable links are not allowed in blog entries until you've been a member for 5 days." But I've been a member for years... And my test entry had no links...

1) Make a blog post with one word in subject ("l;klkl").
2) Place one word in the body ("kjlkjlkjlk").
3) Save the article.
4) Edit the article, replacing the subject and body as needed.
4) Insert <br> between lines, and <br><br> between paragraphs.
5) Bold text begins with <b> and ends with </b>.
6) Italicized text begins with <i> and ends with </i>
