question about Haven forum permissions

Why is the Haven the only forum in which the average user lacks the permission to delete their own posts? (before the next post in the thread)

I'm really just curious about the logic there, it would seems like the forum in which people would most value that ability.

Random Discussion also has that lack of a deletion feature.

Your right, I didn't notice that.

Although that kind of confuses me more. It's not like there is a whole lot that those two forums share, that makes them stand apart from the rest.
