I hate adds with noise and wish they could be elininated. It makes it very hard to read or post when they come up.When you turn the volume down as I do now you can't here any of the important sounds your computer makes like mail or alerts becuse I forget to turn it back up

Do you use Firefox? I know there's a few extensions which allow you to remove specific ads. Adblock is one, I think.

Yes I use firefox but it's new to me and I have not gotten to go over it as well as I'd like hopefully I'll figure it out soon

Here's the link for Adblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/. There's more info on how to use it there, and I recommend it. Not only will you be less annoyed, but your pages will load faster since there's less crap to contend with.

And did I mention it's selective? You can leave the text ads in to satisfy Alex, and block the Javascript ads to satisfy yourself.

The flash/animated ads are a problem because they can give some people seizures and cause different problems ranging from mild to severe in many other people. For ads with sound, I just turn the sound off on my computer whenever I'm online. That makes things nicer. If I want to listen to music, I can put the radio on or whatever else.
