Or is it just me?

No offence Alex, maybe its done on purpose?

Having met, seen, and hung out with Alex, I never noticed that his head was overly large. Then again, I probably wouldn't notice even if it was.

Me neither. Maybe it's just the angle of the photos you've seen, OP. Alex is perfectly normal-looking in person.

In the Autism Talk vids you mean? I think it's because he's leaning closer to the camera than the others.

Did anyone else NOT read the title of this thread so literally? :? Was the title meant to be a play of sorts or not?

Ginormous is a slang of enormous and gigantic, its a fairly common slang word in Auckland.

Funnily enough, no. Alex does not look Autistic. He does not present as an Autistic man with any of his photo shoots and personal publicity efforts, and is engaging smiles and what not.
When he is "representative of Autistic people" he suddenly wears thick glasses, wears yellow sneakers, and adopts an imapssive and somewhat confused face.
Why? Anyone's guess. I think he likes to fit into different roles for different purposes. It is a fakesness and insincerity, and it comes across in volume.

Having met Alex and spent a fair bit of time with him, no, his head isn't overly large. Though his frame is small, which may give that perspective when you factor in camera distortion. And believe me, he's 100% aspie.

Seconded! He's also really hyper, but that's somewhat beside the point.

It really rubs me the wrong way when people call another's diagnosis into question. There's a lot of diversity on the Spectrum and no two of us are exactly alike.

Alex has worked very hard on his social skills and I've gotten the impression his acting training has helped him in that regard. If he comes across as trying to "fit into different roles for different purposes," I think it's just because he's struggling as much as any other aspie to look 'socially acceptable' and falling back on his acting skills to help him do that.

That said, I'm disappointed people are so quick to judge him.

Seconded.

I only started this thread because I knew he leaned more forward than Jack and Kirsten and was probably aware of this distorting??? in a mildly perverse way like splicing penises into frame like in the movie "Fight Club".

I thought it was one his bad monkeys having a bit of fun with us....

And Alex I think your an aspie too if that makes you feel better. :?

Conversely, does anyone else think Jack's head looks really small?
