quite that far - we'd end up spending our time thanking the thanks that thanked the thanks that ...
I thought you just meant when someone had posted something particularly meaningful, or well explained, or funny, or useful - that it would be nice to say thanks. Well yes it would, but I think a short message says it better than clicking a button, really. Plus, there's always PM.
