My spelling is fairly precise, and the WP spellchecker keeps telling me I'm misspelling words that I actually got right.

It's a continuous assault on my self esteem, all this self doubt and looking up the dictionary. I feel like I'm correcting the teacher again.

:p

I get wiggly red lines under misspelled words. Maybe it's Google chrome browser. Oh, yeah, must be that. It just chided me for not capitalizing "google." Arrogant jerks.

you think, you have a problem? google pardon Google Chrome underlies every word that doesnt excist in German, for me. So in this sentance the only words not underlined were: "Google" and "So in" :D

WP doesn't have a spellchecker! Whatever is appearing as spelling mistakes is being done by whatever browser you are using. If your spellings are correct there is normally an option to right click the offending word and tell your browser to add that word to its acceptable spelling list.

Try this:
http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bi ... swer=95604
(step 4 - is there a spill chucker selection or language pack available to help it with German words?)

 Apologies. I seem to have inverted what you'd said.
I really ought to be awake when I comment...

if you right-click on the underlined word, there should be a "add to dictionary" option.
