If mods don't mind, I'd like to take an extended break from this site.

If you could, please ban by IP so I don't try to use other email accounts to join.

Thank you.

First, you would be better of simply not logging in.

Second, you would also be better off sending this request to a mod via PM.

Finally, if what you are really after is a string of "Please don't leave" replies, then you would be better off posting in The Haven.

So long, MR20. I hope the break serves you well. I quit using forums for almost a decade to reduce emotional stress.

No one deserves to suffer, and I hope you can find a way to ease your pain.

pm is preferable. By me anyway. They'll do it for you, but you'll have to get an email addy to send your own request to have your account unbanned. I doubt they're going to want to be responsible for remembering when to turn you back on.

I did it for about a month once. It worked out well. Oh, and with PM'ing instead of starting a thread, you don't have to worry about a thread sitting here waiting for you full of questions about why. Or less desirable stuff.

I never thought about sending a PM, I probably should have though. I'm not doing this for attention. ( to answer fnord's post) I just think I really need a break from this site.

It's not like I'm leaving for good so I'll doubt we'll see many post like "aw don't go" or "why are you leaving, WHY!?!?"

Also, doesn't this site have time-set bans? I know other sites do. Do I really have to email someone to have my account unbanned?

If I'm not mistaken, this site still runs phpBB version 2, which is pretty old, and if I'm not mistaken, doesn't have the capability of time set bans, unless there's some kind of third party plug-in for it, and they have it installed, which I'm not sure of. PM'ing will get you quicker attention anyway. If they have the capability, I'm sure they'll do it.

we will do a banning on request. MR20, we just make a note of it and unban you after a month. it's not a problem, just double-checking you want this?

I visit this site a ton http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/index.php It's pretty similar to this one right?

I know that site has the feature, so this one probably should have it.

I'm pretty sure this is PHP-Nuke actually, Which means it runs a modified phpBB2.
