I'm getting a javascript popup proclaiming that not everything on the site is loading, and I assume that this is because I am running an adblocker. Unfortunately, the advertising on WP seems to only consist of flashing, headache inducing, useless ads. Regardless of the monetary needs of the site, this is unacceptable, as it makes the site unbearable to use.

Further, because the links from the homepage to the forums are done using a javascript dropdown menu, not to mention that most of the text editor functions use javascript, disabling javascript on the site is not an option. Is there any way to block just the pop ups, or am I going to need to find a new forum?

That box shouldn't come up, even if you're blocking the image/flash ads.

i was getting the popup as well. noscript killed it but then i lose some functionality on the site. Vigilans, how do you get the rest of the site to work when you use noscript?

Fnord is also having the box pop up.

scrolling doesn't work anymore...

I kind of work around things tbh. I don't use any of the text editing/hyperlink buttons or emoticon buttons. I get to the discussion forums by clicking the WrongPlanet.net logo after logging in and going from there. I'm not sure why Fnord and others are having that error, as I am extremely stringent with my NoScript, having almost nothing on my whitelist, so... *shrugs* it is probably related to the things going on with the site atm

Mind you I can't scroll right now and the scroll bar on the right is gone. Its taking me forever to navigate with the arrow keys

I keep getting this whenever I open anything on WP; then when I click "OK", nothing looks different and I can do whatever I want to (start typing a post, click on a thread name, etc.)
I had the scrolling problem with Opera, then I switched to Firefox and it worked again. Not sure if that's because I switched browsers, or because the kink was fixed during the short time between browser-switching.

with noscript, if you click "Forbid WrongPlanet.net" it kills the popup but you also lose some buttons and get a big error message at the top of the page.

scrolling is back.

It says "if you consider using WP ad-free" on mine just now.

I only block ads due to malware that can be found in them. I think if this doesn't go away, I'll have to leave this place like I did years ago. The safety of my computer is more important than this place getting money from the ads.

And the only thing I don't see loading on here is the ads. Everything that is actually useful loads. What the heck, Wrong Planet...
