Facebook bar on WP!?

This evening I suddenly have some kind of Facebook bar right across the screen. What's going on?

I noticed that too & I just did a full virus scan & double cheeked my FireFox add-ons/plug ins thinking that something accidentally got installed. I HATE tollbars

Can someone tell me how to make this s**t go away??

As if AdBlock was not enough
Now you have to install NoScript as well

Please---make it go away. I don't need this on here. I am having a rough time right now, and I came here to relax this evening---and here's this #%$# toolbar that won't go away. I don't like facebook. Why does the world seem to revolve around facebook??? Make it go away. I don't like change. And if this thing stays on here popping up whenever it wants to, I think I am leaving. WrongPlanet is supposed to be a place I can go to get away from the world around me---and I don't need it following me on facebook. I'm serious, if this facebook toolbar is here to stay, I'm leaving.

EDIT---at least make it to where we can turn it off our personal settings so those of us that don't want it don't have to see it.

This experiment is a fail.

It's got an X on the right to close it but it won't let me close it, it just makes a another smaller menu bar pop up

Seriously it's like having a big smear on the inside of my glasses that won't wipe off, an annoyance in my field of vision.

I hate this with enough of a passion that I'm posting here. It's atrocious, invasive, and serves no purpose for a few of us. If I wanted facebook, I'd be on f*****g facebook. If I wanted twitter, I'd get a f*****g twitter account.

Yes, the new Face Book tool bar is annoying, whether open on the bottom or collapsed on the side. Also, it is even more annoying that it keeps popping back open after I have collapsed it, if I go to another WP page. Hey Alex, or whoever sprung this on us, PLEASE GET RID OF THIS ASAP! As an alternative, why not just place the icons from the tool bar up at the top of the page, but without the tool bar. Then, anyone interested can click on the icons, but no one will have to have the annoying tool bar. I hate those pop-up tool bars. Many sites have them, and I am always having to minimize them. Also, I never click any links on them, except the one for collapsing the tool bar. And, for the record, I don't do any social net work sites except Dear Abby and WP and WP I only do because I can get info about Asperger's Syndrome here, and connect with others with my problems. I like to read the posts on both of these sites, and sometimes respond. Occasionally, I have originated posts here at WP, too. I happen to like the fact that there are a variety of sub forums offered here, and not just spectrum related.

So guys--and gals, at WP, please fix this. I handle this better than a lot of the others on the spectrum, and won't freak out over it, but really, it is annoying!

Attention Alex:
Aspie's don't generally like change. Especially change that is not beneficial. You have gotten 60,000+ members with the site the way it is, and without this... thing. With this there is a fairly good chance that you will be turning away new, and old members. It is unnecessary, annoying, and from the posts in this thread, unwanted. Get rid of it and quit fixing what ain't broke. If you want to fix something, try working on AspieAffection.
