Crap! Cloudfaire has figured out I'm not really a human being. Time to come out of the closet - I'm really a bot. There the secret it out!

Couldn't gain access - so had to use a moderator cheat and gain access to the site via an alternate means (Sliqua knows what I'm talking about).

You're a japanese kung-fu robot sent from outer space to destroy mankind using bare hands, of course they block you.

Oh and your nickname resembles Taliban.

Cloudflaire isn't stopping me at its checkpoint today. Maybe the guard is asleep? The only difference is that I've got a different IP address today. I get a new IP every time I connect due to only having dial-up internet in my remote location - no broadband connections to my spaceship full of Japanese kung-fu Taliban robots. :P

I got something like this too along with the message "Your computer or another computer on your network is compromised with a virus. This allows online criminals to use it as part of a botnet to send spam and attack websites." as well as some other things under it. I'm pretty sure my comp doesn't have a virus but I am on a public network at a hotel right now so maybe somebody is. I clicked for it to give me more information and 'evidence' but it couldn't give me any. I don't know what to think about it since cloudflare or cloudfront or whatever has been making the forum act really weird for a couple months now.

From what I've seen cloudflaire has various bugs, one of which is occasionally hitting people at random with the human verification message. I didn't get any message about a virus though; presumably it just thought I was a bot for a reason not specified. Since it didn't think I was a bot after reconnecting with a new IP address the criteria it uses must be dodgy anyway.

That's not a bug - that's a deliberately enabled feature. I think it's based on the past reputation of the IP address in question, things like known/suspected proxies, deliberate anonymization, and of course the normal spam bot and infected host stuff. It frequently has me verify myself when connecting through anonymization services (even ones that are only used by my company for testing). It's particularly paranoid, but that functionality is intended.

It wasn't a proxy IP or obscured in any way; just an ISP assigned IP address. Maybe someone else who had that IP previously is the reason it picked on me then?

That'd be my guess.

Ah, that's what I got a few weeks ago and I got into a panic because I thought it was telling me that my account had got hacked into, which is why I changed my password as soon as I managed to get back in. When I started a thread reporting this, nobody knew what I was talking about because when it first happened to me it came up as a read-only page, wouldn't let me type in anything or copy and paste anything, so I don't know what went on there.

This was the thread I started when it first happened to me. I just immediately thought somebody had hacked into my WP account.
