meehh...don't knock it so soon.
many people browse / lurk for months before even joining much less posting.
It may seem a little overwhelming at first to some - perhaps just take a break for a bit.
Thing is - WrongPlanet does not delete accounts except when extreme circumstances arise.
This definition of "extreme" is beyond most extreme definitions, in other words - it don't happen.
If you want your account to disappear, the best thing to do is not to reply or post anymore, or login.

You only joined three days ago. This means you still have time to edit/delete your own posts (one at a time) if you so wish. If you leave it more than 9999 minutes (approx one week) after posting they cannot be edited or deleted.

You can manually clear your posts, as TallyMan said, but you can't remove your account.

You can't, you are a member of a cult now and have membership for life. We will send someone for you if you try to leave..

Ok a bit extreme, no idea. Sorry you've decided to leave. I think that if they removed a user account with established posts then those topics of yours and other people's replies would have to be deleted which would be bad for other members. As long as you opt out of communications and turn off pm I don' t see why WP would bother you again.

I'd rather not explain it, ask Alex why because I had enough of answering questions here.

Well, the number one reason is because the software simply doesn't allow it. Only admins can delete accounts, as far as how the software functions. Not something they can simply an easily change if they wanted to. Which they don't.

Which brings us to reason number two. It's against policy here because it would create havoc with existing threads. And maybe other reasons too. Not having made the rules, I can't speak definitively on the reasons.

Though, as was said, anyone who's been here (or been posting here) less than a week can delete the content of all their posts. Which applied to the person who started this thread at the time he started it. And anyone can simply choose not to come here anymore. Or choose not to post.

I accidentally made 2 accounts on here (one I made late last year and completely forgot about), so in that instance I guess I have to contact a moderator or someone on the site? Or maybe they can see this message and help me out...

why do people always have to resort to that to become unsubscribed? It's like wanting to leave gives them license to act like a d-bag.
