Aspie Affection Account PERMANENT deletion

Firstly, this is nothing to do with recent events. My boyfriend wants me to delete the account, which is fair enough. I can only "cancel" it though and can still see my profile. How do I delete the account permanently?

dont think theres a way. Most sites dont let you delete an account completely as it makes the server have glitches

How do you mean? I don't really know how servers work, but Aspie Affection doesn't have threads like a forum, and it has an inbox which deletes any messages inside it after 30 days.

I don't know, I don't have an account there. However, if there is no account deletion facility can you just blank out the information on there or type rubbish in?

I guess I could do that. I remember OKcupid allowing me to delete my account, so why not Aspie Affection?

The *only* affiliation between WP and Aspie Affection is the fact that Alex owns them both. The mods here have absolutely no power over the other site whatsoever.

i have no idea how the AspieAffection site works because it's not directly affiliated with WrongPlanet. alex advertises it on here but it's a separate project of his. you would need to try to contact him directly, i think. but there is no guarantee you'd get what you're seeking.

I am pretty pissed off over the whole thing myself... I thought using "cancel membership" would get rid of my account, it didn't. Now I can't even edit it!! So I can't remove my photos, I can't remove my information, I can't change anything.

I think this sucks!

I wouldn't recommend anybody use Aspie Affection unless they are okay with having a permanent account on that site. Yes, other sites do let you delete your accounts completely.

Worst thing is there is nobody to even get a hold of about it.

Yeah this is a huge problem. I left my email on one of them so now I'm solicited with spam forever after.
When you "cancel" your membership by the way what happens is this:
*The profile stays online exactly how you left it.
*It still receives PM's.
*If you log back in it reactivates the account only you can't "upgrade" it and you are stuck with less than basic membership which means:
----you can't do ANYTHING other than log in and check a couple of pages as well as search.
----which means you can't read those PM's or edit your profile to say you have left AA or remove any information you need to remove.

It's a joke.
