Hotlinks all over the forum? Has WP been hacked?

I am noticing that there are random green hotlinks appearing all over everywhere. Is this intentional? If so, while I appreciate the need for the site to make money, it really diminishes the content on the site - the links will open by just hovering a cursor over them. It makes it difficult to figure out hotlinks that are posted deliberately from those that are advertisements. If the site really needs the money, can we think of something else to do?

If not - phew, you've got quite a bug! I hope you work it out soon!

I'm sorry, but the hotlinks are too intrusive. I have had WP on my Adblocker exclusion list because it is a site I value, but if these hotlinks remain then I will have to block all the adverts on this site.
