Hi,

Are you guys testing som "infolinks"-stuff that "reads" the page and makes links of randoms words?

Sorry, but that is really annoying!

At first I though it was some kind of spyware on my machine, but I don't see anything like on any other website so I guess this is something you are testing?

If you let one of the little boxes appear when hovering over the links, click on the "?" at the bottom and that will take you to an info page. The opt out link is near the bottom. Click on that and it returns you to a WP free of stoopid green links.

I'm seeing them too today for the first time. I have no inside info on it yet, but I'll be sure to be asking.

Thanks for that. They are quite annoying, but this does work. Don't see them anymore.

I don't see them at all thankfully. Probably due to using Firefox with Adblock plus and NoScript.

Really, it's very easy to be in control of what your browser displays and if your browser denies you that control, then it's time to update to a better one.

i hope it is not a "last ditch effort" that alex has surrendered to that allows this site to continue (fund wise). i have no idea if this site is a drain on his pocket (financially), and if the advent of infolinks saves this site then i guess it is OK.

Yuk! Just tried using the site in Internet Explorer rather than Firefox... Horrible! No wonder people are complaining. One thing made me laugh though... b9's sig line offered me drain cleaner! :lol:

Yeah, I noticed the links are too frequently irrelevant, which makes them even more annoying.

I can see why Internet Exporer's market share contines to tumble to other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome. IE is awful on this site letting all the crap through. Granted Alex needs the revenue from adverts but this looks a right mess. (Shudders and returns to Firefox) ... and I don't need any drain cleaner or want to watch the movie "I am alive" as inadvertently advertised in MrXxx's signature thank you. :lol:
