I find that if I post a topic it quickly disappears among the tons of other posts in so many other discussions. Perhaps if there were "areas" on wrongplanet where we could just go to and there would a MANAGEABLE amount of threads to look over for the day, it would make it easier. After all, it really is too much to try and read all the posts from everyone with Asperger's in the entire world -- there are just too many posts and too many pages. Being an aspie doesn't lend itself, either, to being patient enough to spend the hours required to read all of these. How about if the the main categories were broken up even further? I would be happy just following ONE thread in a SUB-category. It's about all I have time for.

This is really not that hard to do already. Use your email alerts to follow only the threads that you want to follow.

Are you getting email alerts to threads you've created or replied to?

I will post new threads, read a few and reply in various forums here, and continue doing so until I start getting email alerts. At that point, which is usually after participating in or creating several different conversations, I'll just start using the alerts, clicking the links in them. That keeps me pretty busy, and doesn't require a lot of effort skimming through the forum lists.

Get an alert, open it, click the link, reply if I want to, close the tab, trash the alert. Repeat until all alerts are gone from the inbox, return to the site and create more havoc for myself.

Beware though. This method can eat up an entire day in just a few minutes if you're not careful! :P

There's a "view your posts" link on the main page of the forums.

You know, I never noticed that link - thanks for pointing it out. It seems to sort threads by the last time anyone replied, which can be handy for finding old "revived" threads, I guess. To find the threads with my recent replies I just go to my profile and click "Find all posts by ..."

Yup. Watching your email alerts you can see responses as they come in too, and respond as you like.

Surprisingly, Never actually thought of it until I wondered if this site had it after I was on a phpBB3 board.
