Dear Alex;

I don't want to get your newsletter in my email inbox. This is the second time this year I've received such letter and I have it set on my account NOT to receive your newsletters. You should respect your members wishes. Thank-you.

Hey look. The email has an unsubscribe link. Maybe you should click on it.

Yeah, why would you spend the time it takes to go to the forums and type up a message when it takes just one click to unsubscribe?

On your other point, the newsletter setting in the forum profile doesn't work. I'll remove the option to prevent further confusion.

Also, before you finish the registration you have to confirm that you want to receive periodic emails from wrong planet.

The number of spam reports for the newsletter are close to zero so more than 99.5% of the people wanted to receive it or changed their mind and clicked "unsubscribe."

Maybe I shouldn't be getting this crap in my inbox in the first place.

Because this isn't the first time members have complained about receiving this stuff in their inboxes and yet it has happened again. Stop sending these things to peoples email addresses.

You signed up for Wrong Planet, agreed to be sent periodic emails, and now you're complaining about something that could be solved with the simple click of "unsubscribe." Seems like a non-issue to me.
