this seems to be due to site upgrades or changes (i don't know anything officially), but i've had problems with copying and pasting text in chrome. i think it isn't a problem in internet explorer (not sure about other browsers.

http://blog.sharethis.com/2013/02/26/co ... ublishers/

it works ok if the text is already "posted" (then it will copy and paste but will just add a link), but in an open post the text will not copy at all and will just add a link.

i saw a similar issue posted on this blog:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1510 ... sting-text

anyone else have issues? does someone know a workaround?

installed NotScript, a script blocker in chrome, which blocked sharethis. it seems to be working....

There is an option in the Chrome settings to disable JavaScript on a site by site basis.

As of this post, I have disabled JavaScript and I have not noticed any negative effects other than I have to manually type emoticons.

Which version of Chrome do you have?
Have you tried using Chromium (the open source version of Chrome)?
