Either of these seem like common consequence lately of trying to post pics lately. What's the score? Is it the auto-resizer that's doing this or is it something else?

I've no idea what the problem is, but it is occuring here too.
It seems that one image is fine usually, but two or more is very hit and miss.
I wouldn't have thought it was the attachment size but you never know.

Happens a lot with me too. It doesn't seem to like certain images I post from Flickr BBCode.

the first one comes up in preview, the second will show up when you try to post.

I just had a post today even where I had to try about 20 times to get it to send.

I've seen this a number of times recently.

If I "Disable Smilies in this post", I get a "Couldn't obtain category list" instead.

With BBCode disabled so the tags show up as text:

After a bit of testing, it seems to me that the problem tends to go away if we resize the image with the [640:480] tag (with appropriate pixel width and height) after the img tag.

First check the size of the image you want to post. If it is relatively small, you probably don't need the tag. If you do, look at the size. Assume for the purpose of argument that the size is 3200 x 1400. Such an image is too large for proper display here so you need to resize it.

Decide on the width in pixels that you wish to use. For example, if you want the width to be 512, divide 512 by 3200 and multiply by 1400 to get 224. So a 512x224 image keeps the same aspect ratio as the original 3200x1400 image.

Then create the tag as

[img][512:224]http://www.example.com/your_spectactular_image.jpg[/img]

The formula is thus:

desired height = (desired width ) / (original width ) * (original height)

and the tag that goes immediately after the [img] tag is [width:height] separated by a colon, ':', as in [img][width:height]url[/img]

Keep your order of operations in mind and work from left to right. Do not do the multiplication first. Also, round up or down as needed to the nearest integer value.

Try this and see if this solves the problem.
