seems to me that there are to many subforums on wp. Now I know they are segregated on purpose to keep threads on topic, but I feel lost in the maze of where to go. Many don't apply to me, (teens female forums, etc.) but I feel like I am not seeing as many topics as I would like to.

Personally I like the divisions. It makes it easier to navigate WP.

(Thread moved from Autism discussion to wp.net discussion)

The vast majority tend to want more sub forums, not fewer.

^ I was just thinking that!

Perhaps you should bookmark the subforums that do interest you?

The bigger problem is getting people to post in the correct board. There are a lot of users (on this and other forums) who automatically post on the first (or most popular) board.

Use the "view posts since last visit" if you want to see everything (although the software does not fully work and limits you to 10-20 pages of posts).

Also might not hurt to be proactive, and make your own posts about stuff that interests you. See what kind of responses you get.

I thought this too. Most people just post in the first forum or maybe 2. So if you post a topic in one of the sub forums it doesn't get seen by many people and you get less responses or opinions. It's not that your post wouldn't interest people its just that they can't be bothered to check all the forums for interesting stuff, myself included I suppose. I only check the sub forums when I'm bored and nothing interests me in my favourite ones.

Where is this option I can't see it? I'm using an ipad does that make a difference?

Never mind I've found it now. I can't believe I didn't see it before its so much easier to use the forums now, especially the link where I can see my past posts too :D
