I received an e-mail notification that someone had sent me a private message, but there are nothing but old private messages visible when I log in.

My blog table of contents ("Last 20 blog entries for starkid") lists one comment on one of my two blog entries, but when I click on the entry, there's no comment visible.

If someone sends you a PM but deletes it before you've opened it, there is no way of "un-sending" the PM alert which was generated as the PM was sent.
Hence, you still get the alert but not the PM.

The blogging function here has never worked very well and it's possible that the bogus comment notification is similar to the bogus PM alert.
