Anyone else having trouble uploading photos? HELP

I just want to upload a picture for my avatar but every time I try, it takes me to a CAPTCHA page where there is no CAPTCHA to type in. It refuses to let me do anything without entering text that isn't there in the first place. Then when I try to click on "Help," nothing happens. I've tried this on different computers so I really think it's a site issue. Anyone know a way around it???

The CAPTCHA challenge pops up occasionally for various odd reasons, one of which appears to be concerned in some way with images - probably something about the URL, I assume. It's also not a service provided by WP.
I'd guess that you have a browser plugin or some firewall setting which is blocking or preventing it from working correctly. Although it has been known to appear when changing the avatar, it has so far always been complete and functional. And somewhat annoying...

Now it's not letting me post ANYTHING. I've tried to post new threads and keep getting that blank CAPTCHA page. It's really frustrating. Is there anyone I can contact about this?

Did you investigate any of the things I suggested earlier?
Are you using a desktop system (Linux, Mac, Windows etc) or some sort of mobile device like a phone or tablet? Which browser? If it uses a plug-in or add-on system, have you tried temporarily disabling it?

I don't get a challenge very often but when I do, it always clearly displays what I'm supposed to type. Also, the most frequent complaint here is not that the challenge has no text, more that it appears at all - so it would appear to be fully functional.
Therefore, it sounds like the text is not being displayed because of something local to your installation.

I suspect what challenges you're seeing are being presented because you're including a URL in the post.
Apart from a very few cases, that's the only time I get one here - and that's also very rarely.

What I meant was, it wouldn't let me post new threads. I tried twice this morning, haven't tried again yet. I tried using several different computers (none of them my own, so I really don't know much about their systems) to change the pic though and got the same problem every time so it's hard to believe every computer I try to use has the same glitch.

Not a glitch; most probably a commonality.
Whether that's the OS, malware, the browser, a plug-in, a URL included in a post or something about the ISP - we don't yet know.
