All of a sudden all the forums are on the "no new posts" icon.

The site seems "OK" now; but the frequency and severity of the various error messages is increasing alarmingly. It wouldn't surprise me if the site curled up its toes and died before the new version comes online.

Apparently Alex has contracted a software firm to develop a new version of the site software. There is a thread in this very forum where he is asking for feedback regarding its design.
