How Does The Buddy Button Work?

I pushed the button just to see how it worked and i accidentally put someone on my buddys list. Now that person is mad and wants me to take them off and i need to know how to do that.

Uh-oh, I just added someone to my buddy list, I hope I didn't piss them off.

Where do I view my buddy list?

And let me add, for the record, that I think a buddy list is a really bad idea for an Asperger's site, as it will encourage clique-ishness and make a lot of people feel unwanted if they aren't added to people's lists. It's almost as bad as a karma system! (shudders!)
