Will I ever see "Latest topic title"?

I registered just before the redesign of the site, and I'm pretty sure I never saw "latest post by" but the much, much, much more informative "latest topic title"



It annoys me to see who wrote the message, because I really couldn't care less. Is this "latest post by" going to be permanent or what?


Oh, and how long does one have to edit posts on this site?

i don't remember latest topic title. not on the forum index anyway, it's always been that way to me.

I wonder whether the OP was referring to the feature towards the top right of the Home Page, where it now says Popular Discussions? This was previously used to publicize NEW THREADS, and I think that was a good deal more useful.

I've clearly been "pretty sure" about the index on some else forum (especially since Web Archive proves me wrong) ....I really wish I knew what that forum was so I could sign up now, especially since the editing time is atrocious - 30 minutes?! Sheezh
