So tell me about these usergroups......

I've been on forums before where there were usergroups that could be started by a member for various and sundry topics of interests and assumed thats what this was. There was a member group which seems to be just a member list and the alex plank group which just had alex in it and the option to join it. I clicked join for alex's group to see what it does, but I'm hoping that this groups thing may be expanded to private user groups for topical discussions which aren't for general forum chat.

I think it would be a great idea to have this option, especially for special interests. Yes, I know those threads can go on the forum but if everybody did that in random then everything else would be crowded out. The groups I'm thinking of would have many threads under the one topic so they can get pretty busy. Just think about it, a private group of other aspies all devoted to discussing your one special interest...... I think it would be like cyber heaven! I know of four or five right off the top of my head that I would want to start.

My forum is still there and everyone is welcome to come join as well. There is a private women only subforum there if anyone is interested. Also, there is no CAPTCHA.
