I'm having a couple of problems with my profile. For one, I can't seem to change the avatar picture that is displayed when I post. Also, my age is listed as 45 and I am 26 (I did put my correct birthday).

Thank you!

Everyone is having those problems. All we can do is wait, for now until it's fixed.

I was not aware, having been away for a while. How strange! Thanks for your reply.

Is there any info on why the avatar and profile problems? I haven't seen anything on the issue nor any thoughts on a timeline.

I tried changing my location the other day. If I remember correctly, it was "In the foothills of the Amarillo mountains". But it didn't change what was shown on the posts.

It will happen when it happens. Dealing with trolls seems to be the top priority right now.

I miss being able to set my own ranking.

I don't remember what I used to use. I think it was "Redneck Hippie".

Mine was "Resident Trollhunter and Metasyntactic Variable". I hope that the new set-up has room for all of that!

"Not sure" is a way better response.

It's a bit frustrating. I returned after some years absence and can't change anything to update it. This is a free service, however, and I don't expect any magic to happen anytime soon. It would be cool if it did, though. ;)

Well, I'm not trying to be demanding. I just can't see if other people are being demanding in other parts of the board, or if my question has already been answered with "we don't know". So I don't know if "it will happen when it happens" is an answer resulting of frustration or not. But, I don't know if a bunch of people have repeatedly been asking the same question despite being given an answer, because I'm only one person.

Being told "it will happen when it happens" is kind of... mmm...the connotation of that phrase is "you'll know whenever it's gotten around to, there is no importance to your question".

If people simply don't know, that's better information to have. It also stops me from explaining why people might feel really dismissed [and granted, I am probably the only one] when they ask a simple question about an update. *shrug*

I'm trying to not be demanding too, but it's a bit frustrating to say the least. If it's an issue of funds to make the site work properly, then surely there could be a donation system whereby we can contribute something. You're not the only one feeling dismissed. I keep telling myself 'well it is a free service' but surely it's not that difficult to get the user cp up and running properly. It's not rocket science. I'm not complaining but...

It's been that way on these forums for years and years, unfortunately. There's been well documented issues more serious than simple ones like signatures and custom ranks that go unaddressed for months on end. Kind of like how we'll get spambots attacking the forum consistently as of recent.

Only one person has an answer and he's not always around due to real life arrangements. So we're always kind of stuck with what we got. :|

Yeah. I had the impression that when the site switched over this kind of thing wouldn't be as frequent. My mistake.
...Also have an idea on the increase in trolling, etc but can't tell who all the moderators are because I have a feeling not all of them are marked as such. So there's that. :/
