Need to log in every time I get a notification

Every time I get a notification that there's been a reply to a thread I'm active in, I'm always directed to the login page. This has been happening for the last two weeks at least, even when I check the "Log me in automatically each session" box. What's going on?

it's a glitch...sorry, alex is trying to fix it.
