... the cookies, the cookies, the cookies, the cookies and more cookies.
The advertising and tracking cookies. The horror, the horror.
I have Firefox set to ask me to accept cookies or not. I've never see a site have so many cookies as WP ... except, oddly, BBC.com, a site I will never return to. I will return to this site, however, but I spend half my time here denying the cookies.
Also, with cookies and Firefox set to ask about them, you can't close a webpage or perform any other function until you have either accepted or denied each and every cookie. This means that, aside from excessive cookies being a real pain and too sickly sweet, people viewing this site may have no privacy about the matter (because of the cookies themselves and not being able to close the webpage if intruded upon).
Understandably, WP needs funding. But these tracking cookies have to go.
Thanks.
