Last Visited? That's A Secret.

It seems that some WrongPlanet members make it so that when you visit their profiles, you can't tell when they last visited the site. Why would people censor that bit of information, and how do they do it?

I don't know why people do it, but I know how it works:
You click on "My Account" next to "x new messages" and the the log out button at the right top corner of the forums index page. At the left side of the new page you can see the "options". Choose "board preferences". Then you will see a list of things you can change. "Hide my online status" refers to "last visited". If you click "yes" others cannot see when you have last visited, it is hidden. Finally you have to submit your changes.

I always wondered how people did it. Most likely some just like to be incognito about their lurking.

There is some option where you can set that to hidden.
I do it because of some annoying person pm'ing me in the past.

There ARE good reasons for doing this----for instance, not long after I first came here, I had a stalker; so, the less they knew about my presence, the better.
