I think a Moderator deleted one of my posts, only I never received a notification message, and they never posted a message mentioning deleting posts.

This is the Thread in question ( viewtopic.php?t=304852 ) can a Moderator confirm?

Can deleted posts be recovered? If so I would appreciate a copy of it sent to me as it took me several hours to type out.

I'm thinking that it has to do with the feature that tells you when someone else has posted, since you read the thread----and since you said it took you several hours to type it, that seems likely. When you hit "Submit", it will say, something like, "Someone else has posted since you clicked on this thread, do you still want to post". It appears on the same page as the message: "Your post has been submitted successfully" (or whatever). If you don't scroll-down to read what it actually says, and just assume it says it was successful, and close the window, your post will be lost, forever. ALWAYS, right-click and "copy", before clicking on "Submit".

You haven't had a post deleted since that thread was started. It must have failed to submit for some reason.

As it turns out, I did make the post, it was just in a different thread about pretty much the exact same thing. :?

Anyway, if you could delete this thread, then that would be okay with me.
