I want the whole PPR subforum deleted. I recently discovered that this thread reopened and I am not happy:

viewtopic.php?t=307405

All the PPR subforum does is lead to insults and hurt feelings, because nobody respects your opinion. So if you could delete that subforum, or at least reclose that thread, that would be nice. I'm just sick and tired of being treated like the f***ing bad guy!

Or you can just stop visiting that subforum. That place isn't for everyone. Or you can post your opinion there and be done with the thread, don't read it again and you will never see the responses to your post.

League_Girl, you sound suspiciously like an adult. I don't know if that's allowed around here...

Yeah, like anyone's gonna care about my opinions (not).

This is basically me and PPR in a nutshell:

It's highly unlikely that the entire PPR forum will be deleted. In general, mods don't delete threads (except spam and trolling threads). If it was deleted, thousands of threads and posts would be lost.

Some advice for you and all others who visit and post in PPR: if you can't handle PPR, the best thing to do is to just stop visiting it. True, the general atmosphere in PPR is quite unpleasant, but that won't change.

If someone replies to you in a thread disrespecting your opinion, the best thing to do is to just ignore their response. If they attack you, report their post and leave it to the mods to deal with them.

I'm a regular Wikipedia editor, and one main principle there is to comment only on content, not other editors. I think that would be a good principle for people here to follow. When posting in PPR, people should comment on the topic in question, not other users.

Some people really, really like to argue. And a lot of them get nasty. Most people seem to be incapable of having rational discussions when it comes to those types of topics.

No, many other people do not like it when another person has a different opinion, and begin to get hostile. I assume they are threatened by the opinion, for various reasons.

But people want to discuss those things, so I don't think that the forum is going to go away.

Well, I didn't ask for that thread to be reopened, either. I'd rather it stayed closed. Now that one user (who I shall not name) is hounding me again, and even turned some of the members against me. F*** this site!

I can't agree with you sorry.

Forums are created on demand. Alex has said as much. There are few forums more popular than PPR.

PPR has produces some of the interesting, and thought provoking discussions.

I'm sorry you don't feel the same way, however I'm glad the PPR exists.

Yes some people enjoy argument, there is value in it.

I rather not be a passenger, just accept what I'm told or demand it from others.

I suggest you look at my no platforming thread as to why restricting these conversations is a bad idea.

If a forum is going to be deleted, it should be L&D.

Gaw lots of cynics out tonight.

I advise to take some time this weekend to go out get some fresh air, like a long walk. Or some relaxation time.

If you don't like a thread or forum, simply avoid it instead of demanding that the entire website be redesigned just to please you.

Yeah, Politics, and Religion are topics that are insanely illogical. This is my opinion though.
