BBCode not working properly?

Lately whenever I try to post an image or really anything with bbcode it does not work. Instead, I can still see the tags around the edges. For example:



Other images do work, though:


What's going on here??

The URL between the image tags must start with "http" (not "https" - it will fail) and end with an image filename.
Your first example fails because the URL doesn't end with a filename.

Also, please ensure posted images are no larger than 800x600 otherwise buggy site resizing code will distort the aspect ratio.

I got it to work just by right-clicking directly on my photo (on google photo album) to copy, and then pasted it in the link field. It is https and worked just fine. My error had been copying the site link, not the photo itself. The tag attached to the edge does not bother me, I'm happy I got an image instead of a link!
