Either it's WP's fault or mine.

If mine, how do I fix it so it displays in the way I'd prefer it to?

I've just looked at your profile and you appear to have overwritten the date format with "egaonogenki" ! !!

Your date format should contain instructions for how you want the dates formatted e.g.:

D M d, Y g:i a

You can't just type "egaonogenki" in there and expect to get a date in the correct format!

Lol, WOW. I don't ever recall even typing my username THERE. In fact, I don't remember where I'd find the date format setting, so hopefully I will fast enough.

You will see "Date Format" part way down your profile page. Copy and paste in the characters I gave above. If you have any problem let me know and I'll edit your profile for you.

Thanks, Tallyman! I finally got it fixed. However, I elected to use this format: l n-j-Y H:i:s e

However, I'm forced to have it be "l n-j-Y H:i:se" because there's an incredibly tight character limit. This way, it now reads: "Saturday 8-11-2012 13:35:23UTC"

Can somebody please increase that limit?

Second, how do I change it to give our own time-zones? (Mine, namely, would be CST.) And can the settings be set so that posts of users from other time-zones stamp their own time zones' names?

More space in the field would require a change to the database design. Alex won't do that.

You can only select your own time zone from the list. Everyone else's posts will be displayed using your date format. There is no more flexibility to show other members posts in any other format.

Glad you are seeing dates in the proper format now anyway. :)

HEY! Why is the option to change the date format gone? (I see the site has gone through a nice overhaul since I last posted here!)

I liked the option to have a date format. Is there a different way to have my preferred date format again? Thanks.

It's in the board preferences: ucp.php?i=174
