It might be just my over-familiarity with wikis and their lovely transparency, but... why could locks be made secretly?! What's this, China with a one-party state and all is underground? Excuse my irritation too... I can't even complain to whoever did it, for their reasons or lack thereof... because, oh, what a surprise, it's all oblique.

CHANGE THE SOFTWARE AND ATTITUDES RIGHT NOW!

...seriously...

Also, look at the word oblique. I don't want to seem confrontational, but I had to look up that word, only to find it is a synonym for much simpler words: ambiguous, veiled, covert, sketchy, shady, etc.
This is probably just obsessive on my part, but please consider using the simplest word for every situation, as it will also help your mind to cut down, to simplify, to slice away the extra stuff. "Occam's razor," if you will.
Sorry for focusing on a small detail, but at least it was not oblique.

Or else ... what?

If you're going to make a demand, then it simply must have an attention-grabbing "or else" clause attached to it.

Otherwise, it's as impotent as a lame-duck senator ...

I believe there exist negative integers therefore Fnord should count them as well.

Fnord, you got to admit though, this is one of the worst custom designed forum software...

MooToo, can you recommend a better forum site for people with neurodiverse people?
Preferably a chat room with more than a few members per day?

To be fair you are making way too many threads in PPR, all of which are based almost purely on your emotions rather than a rational opinion based on facts, and the threads are set up in such a way where there is no room for debate. They are already concluded, unashamedly rhetorical and judge without conviction that paint anyone who disagrees with you as Nazi Germany or that weird moustached villain in Lazy Town.

Unsurprisingly, not all of your threads are going to make the cut and the moderators are under no obligation to explain why to a person whom has frequently demonstrated they will in no shape or form listen to or accept the criticism they receive from their peers.

There are plenty of people who share similar views to you in PPR who can put forward great points and support their positions just fine. I suggest you look at posts from those users and learn a thing or two. Also, try and exercise some self control with the New Topic function. Contribute to other threads and speak with other users you agree with. There is no need to draw attention to your views by making new topics when plenty already exist for them.

I won't disagree there are some attitude problems (on both sides) but you can't blame the forum or its users for your threads which get locked when there are no replies to the locked thread. Take some time out maybe.

Thank you, "The Spectrum," as I have been waiting almost an hour now for MooToo to answer my query. It looks like he already has taken some time out, which I'm going to follow suit and go have a beer.

MooToo, I recommend opening a thread on The Haven, giving a detailed explanation of your at home situation, your psychological history, and preferably your score on the Autism Quotient, where I proudly hold a 41. I will get with you shortly if you can fulfill this request, as well as answering my previous question about any and all ASD and ND forums, particularly a well-populated chat room where someone like myself could find more relief.
Otherwise, best of luck to you, as I will be staying here on WrongPlanet.

Thank you for your attention in this matter, everyone.

Sincerely,
John Tyner

No, I don't.

I access this website from no less than 4 separate platforms, each running a different OS and browser. All I do is keep them updated, and try to avoid habits that trigger reactions from Cloudflare, "Captcha", or the mods. End result? No "bugs" or glitches, unless the website goes off-line.

This leads me to believe that 99% of the "bugs" being reported originate somewhere between the keyboard and the chair the user sits in.

I do respond to others' threads but one needs to keep in mind that when the average coherency of a thread title his cult can come up with is "MERICAAA!!1!!" I kind of feel like expanding a bit and asking questions that haven't, at least recently, been asked.

Ultimately, the forum software is still severely lacking as all anyone would expect it to do, at the very least, is to show logs. On wikis, literally, the only logs that aren't shown to the public are those that aren't also shown to admins, which generally tend to be the least informative to an outside audience... if Wikipedia suddenly started to delete seemingly random articles with no explanation, no link to the admin's pages so it could be discussed, how many people will say that it's an unfair way to run a site?

John, these are individual posts, a log on the other hand keeps a record of actions taken within a thread, or in a wiki's case, a page.

What's the difference between a post and a log?

I'm still confused. I'll be on the look out for your new thread, in hopes of helping you some.

I don't know what you did, but remember, being on a forum is a privilege, not a right.

I do have logs of moderator actions. If you have an issue with something being locked, you could message any one of the moderators or post a question to the moderator attention thread.
