Greetings! This is to advise that I am taking a break from posting for a while. I will still be available as a moderator and continue to welcome PMs, (it is always great to receive your updates and messages). My absence recently was due to a trip to Australia, and while I was there the earthquake occurred in New Zealand. Thank you to everyone who contacted me expressing concern for my well being (as the earthquake coincided with me being offline in Australia, and people wondered if I had been adversely affected by it not knowing I was overseas at the time). My family and myself are all safe and sound - though a grand daughter continues to live in Christchurch and I wish she would relocate back to Auckland, where I live and she grew up. (We do have earthquakes in Auckland, though they are relatively minor events, compared to the Wellington, Christchurch and other regions). I will respond to any replies to this thread, however, during my posting break. Hope things are going well with you all, or if not well, they will soon improve. Now that the election is over I look forward to WP returning to being a more congenial place for everyone. All the best :)

Hello again to you all :) I was thinking about you a lot Raleigh during my trip and wondering how you are getting on with your journey through the current situation. I have been very tired since coming home, I walked so much in Australia that I lost a stone in weight though it was worth it, Australia is my favourite country and I saw new parts of Queensland that I have not been to before. No encounters with snakes thank God though my daughter, son-in-law and one of my grandsons managed to pick up ghastly little ticks on a walk through the rain forest. Eek! Thankfully I was spared this indignity and emerged unscathed by the little blighters.

Life is far from fair in the weight stakes. I can go from slim to skinny in a very short time, and a few years ago dropped down to 6 stone, far too skinny, when all my friends were complaining about middle aged spread, which passed me by. Perhaps the ticks turned there noses up at me because they made a decision that I wasn't worth the bother, there wasn't enough for them to feast on!

Nope...84 pounds is nothing to sneeze at!

If I could only get down to 12 stone----that would be good.

I'm about 13.5 stone on a 165 cm frame.

We have had a very disappointing Spring, the weather has been unfortunate - cold, cloudy and windy - the worst Spring for years. Otherwise same as..
