A person called Fnorg just insulted my religion is he a mod?

So they basically stated my religion was made up?

All religions are made up! That's no reason not to practice them and take enjoyment and meaning from them. In particular, you might find this book interesting; it's an academic history of the modern witchcraft movement by an actual practitioner.

Fnord used to be a mod, and an outspoken atheist. He has a right to his opinion, but I doubt he said anything to you personally since he is no longer active here.

Fnord is still here? He chose to stop posting a while ago. Anyway, he's an atheist, like I am, so according to that point of view, all religions are made up. At least, nobody has any proof of them.

While long time member Fnord stopped posting after 30,000 posts as he said he did say he would occasionally lurk and PM people.

There is no moderator with that name, and there is no rule against insulting religions.

There are actually many religious people here. And they have a strong voice here.
