server been super slow lately

i keep making double and triple posts cause no matter what IP (pc) im at... it's just s dang slow... has issues loading messages and switching between forums

I've got dial-up, am used to certain level of sluggish connection-but this afternoon WP's been unusually slow-to-load pages. Took minutes just to get index page to appear, bottom of screen kept saying "contacting" the site (instead of "53 out of 57 items loaded"). And there are only 550 members online now-often there are 800, yet site won't seem slow at all. Baffling.

Unfortuantely, I have to agree with mostly everyone that posted in this discussion. This site, especially when posting and moving around various sections, is really really slow.
