Why can't I see videos?

There's just a big, blank space where the video is supposed to be when people post videos. No link or anything, so I can't even open it in YouTube and watch it.

I've seen it happen once or twice, not sure why it happens. A workaround is to quote the post, as if to reply, and then extract the link from the quote text.
