Hello

I am new here to WP and very glad to be here. I noticed the hosting costs message at the top and was considering on making a donation.

However I feel I can offer something better. I have been a professional SEO/Internet marketer for almost 10 years and have consulted for companies like LendingTree.com and Heels.com

WP has a decent PR and falls under the "medical/health" neighborhood. There are tons of other medical related sites that would pay a monthly fee to have a link to their site from here. Each one could fetch $15-$35 a month and would be payed through an automatic paypal subscription.

This site has the potential to earn well over $280 a month.

I would be happy to facilitate this free of charge, as I am quite connected throughout the professional webmaster community.

Not sure who or what runs WP, so I just thought I would throw out a feeler here.

David

I presumed that the advertising present
pulls in more than that.

hmmm...

i have no idea what the traffic is here, so it's possible. But from what I see, the monetization leaves something to be desired. I inferred from the stop sign message at the top that it was a "distress" kind of thing.

I don't know. I suspect it's probably just
not bringing ENOUGH money in.

The risk as mentioned in the other thread is SEO for SEO's sake which could kill the site, especially the support aspect. This site is just not comparable to the commercial health sector online at all. As it is we still have trouble with inappropriate heath ads. Most of the traffic wouldn't be from ASD.

In the total population the lowest estimate for all ASDs is around 2% the highest estimate is around 6%. You wouldn't expect much more than 0.1% traffic at anyone time to be ASD. The last thing you want is this site to turn into a NetDoctor or e-med, etc. These essentially have no real members and no community. There are some specific nuero-developmental specific websites just like those. They are successful but are about as helpful encounter as stepping in puke. I would definitely leave if it turned like that, not that it would be very difficult.

I can't say I had a great deal of trouble finding this site. There still some keywords that can be improved. It is not necessarily to be top of the pile on every one on the contrary. You don't need more general health related keyword it would just bring unwanted traffic.

All alex needs is a little more incoming to meet his overheads, some tweaking here and there.

I understand your comment regardings SEO, and I agree... however I was not talking about SEO but monetization. I also get your mean about traffic, but that's not really my concern either.

I know that there are a lot of sites who would pay a monthly fee to have a link to their site from here, integrated into the content somehow. A blog post, a signature link, a footer link, etc. I'm deeming the value from the pagerank alone, not taking into consideration any other factors. i.e he could sell 10 footer links on the main page for at least $35/month a pop. That's at least $350/month right there from just one page.

These sponsors wouldn't care about the traffic generated, only that search engines see a link coming from WP... thats what they are paying for.

It's okay to link to other things in the "health/medical neighborhood" and still be relevant. For example, a link to fitness type site would be okay, because excercising is important for mental health. Now linking to a casino, or a site about engine repair would be considered suspect.

Hi David. As I can see you know what you are talking about)) SEO is a very cool thing that really can boost the traffic of your website. I applied once to a company (Crowd marketing agency) which did crowd links if you know what's that and I was really surprised with the results! Didn't know you can so fast raise your website in Google ranking.

Of course you meant well, Denis—but this guy David hasn’t posted on this thread in almost 13 years. He probably won’t respond to what you said.

(though I did see one instance where an Original Poster, after 15 years, responded to what was recently written in his thread).
